Urgent Need for Cardboard Boxes for Christmas Food Baskets
Dec 17, 2003SOS - We need cardboard boxes for the Christmas Food Baskets. Please drop them off at Providence Hall any afternoon between now and Friday; drop them off at the Christmas Tree Trailer between Noon and 9:00 PM; or bring them on Saturday morning at 9 AM when we begin filling them with the food from the Saint Vincent DePaul larder.
Anyone who can help move the food from SVDP's Pantry to the hall at 4 PM Friday is welcome. Open pickup trucks are ideal for this task.
Please remember we also need drivers on Sunday, December 21st at 10 AM to pickup the food baskets at the hall and drive by the storage facility to pickup the gifts and deliver all to the needy families. This is a slightly more labor intensive than the Thanksgiving delivery, but it is a very heartwarming task.
