Prelinary KOVAR Status received from Tim Cooke who chaired the drive
Apr 19, 2004Preliminary numbers through the end of Sunday show that we raised $23,732 during this 4-day span. Many thanks to all those who contributed their time, efforts, and money for this worthy cause. I'm sure we will be among the top councils in the State when all the contributions are in.
Special thanks to those members who worked many multiple shifts and spent a good part of their weekend helping collect for KOVAR. In particular, Dave Mann, Tim Tilson, and Larry Gottschalk who spent complete days helping out.
Thanks to Al Leightley, Larry Novack, and Hank Urban for their assistance managing the money back at the Hall. Finally, I'd like to thank John Judge for providing all the great food for those hungry workers as they arrived
back at the Hall after a 3-hour shift. John was there to open the Hall in the morning, spent all day there, and closed it at night.
Again, thank you very much for your efforts. This kind of collection goes to show what a great council we have. It was heartening to see how many different people came out to help.
