Sep 12, 2004Once again it is football time and the Gibbs Redskins will be at the Hall for all games. The NFL opening day is September 12—which is also the Parish Picnic so the game will be on but the food will be from the picnic. Because of this, Father Diamond Council will hold its own kickoff day the following Sunday, September 19 with the 1:00PM Giants game. From Half-time on, we will have a Sunday dinner featuring Jack Cerny’s smoked whole turkeys with Rosemary’s special salad together with sage stuffing and South of the Border Potatoes au gratin plus Spiced Turkey Gravy. All you can eat for $3.00 per person. Kids can have hot dogs for $1.50.
As is usual, hot nacho cheese and chips, peanuts and other munchies with salsa are provided all the time and the beverages are at Warden prices. So come on over and forget about cooking dinner and watch the start of a new Gibbs legend. For the rest of the season: All 1:00 PM games will have Super dogs, saurkraut, fried and raw onions and all the usual stuff (Nacho Hot Cheese, chips ,munchies etc.) with the Hot Dogs at $2.00/person all-you-can-eat. All 4:00PM Games will have a hot meal at Halftime (around 6:00PM) for the same $2.00 per person plus all of the above. All Night games will involve only munchies—no hot food unless requested (to Judge).
