Nov 20, 2004Mike Purtill is leading this effort to provide 40 baskets for the needy, these families in need are nominated by SVDP. Traditionally these baskets for Thanksgiving are donated by Council members by themselves or by several Knights banded together. Mike has a suggested listing of items that are desired for the basket. The aim is to provide staples for a family of 4 (2 Adults and 2 children), the Council provides a turkey and a gift certificate to Shoppers for consumables. It is suggested that you buys gift certificates from Larry Novack (703 978 6137) for your purchases, with prudent shopping the basket costs run about $70.
