Sep 04, 2005Fr. Diamond Council will be conducting a bake sale after all masses on Labor Day weekend (Sept. 3-4). Volunteers are needed to donate baked goods. Some help is also needed to sell the donated items after each mass.
The last bake sale grossed over $1000 with sales from MANY items (2-3 tables’ worth of items sold after EACH mass) and items such as breads (pumpkin, banana,…), brownies (individually wrapped or sold as entire pans), homemade pies, cakes, Rice Krispies Treats (individually wrapped), cookies, and cobblers sold very well.
Please contact Nelson and/or Julie Clinch at (703) 385-2146 to donate delicious baked goods or your precious time before or after a specific mass. E-mails may be sent to clinch5va@yahoo.com. Please include the items, quantity, and most convenient mass time(s) in the message. There will also be a sign-up sheet available at the 8/23 Council meeting.
Baked goods may be dropped off at Providence Hall on Saturday 9/3 from 4 to 7 PM, or at the sale table outside the CCD entrance to the school before or after the mass you attend. Contact Julie or Nelson for item pick-up.
