Apr 25, 2003I thought I would pass along the following:
"I just heard yesterday on Catholic Answers (radio program) an interview with Leonardo DeFillipis, the producer of "Therese", the movie about St. Therese of Lisieux. He hopes this movie will be released in theatres in October 2003. From what I understood him to say, for Hollywood to release the film they must see that there is sufficient interest in it.
How do they determine this? These days they check the movie websites for the number of hits they get, which indicates the level of public interest. Therefore, he is asking us to HIT the website. Tell everyone you know about the movie, get the word out, and show as much interest as possible, so that they may be able to have the movie in theatres this fall.
The website is beautiful; the clips of the movie look wonderful. He believes this could be a real evangelical tool, as well as being only the first of many great movies being produced in the future, if this one proves successful at the box office.
